Inn of Court Announcements The Justice Robert L. Clifford Inn of Court in Passaic County is accepting applications for students, barristers and masters positions for the September 2003 to June 2004 term. The Inn’s primary focus is civil litigation and will meet the first Thursday of each month. Cost is $350. The Sidney Reitman Employment Law Inn of Court is accepting applications for its 2003-2005 cycle, beginning in September 2003. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in practicing labor and employment law, and New York and Pennsylvania MCLE credits will be granted for participation. Applications can be obtained from www.innsofcourt.org/inns/reitmaninn. Applications for the northern New Jersey branch, which meets in Glen Ridge, should be mailed to Domenick Carmagnola, Esq, Lum, Danzis, Drasco & Positan, 103 Eisenhower Parkway, Roseland, 07068. Deadline for submitting applications is July 8. The New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court is accepting applications for masters, barristers and pupils for the September 2003 through May 2005 term. There will be a program at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark and another in southern New Jersey at a location to be determined. Tuition is $300 for students, $350 for barristers and $385 for masters. Scholarships are available and discounts are offered to employees of governmental and legal service agencies. Morris Bar Celebrates Law Day The Morris County Bar Association and Bar Foundation celebrated Law Day on May 1 in Courtroom One of the Morris County Court House. Bar Association President Brian Montag and Bar Foundation President William Krais awarded this year’s honorees, including the winners of the foundation’s poster contest for grade-school students and the Kinnelon High School mock trial team. Lynette Carhart, an associate with Porzio, Bromberg & Newman in Morristown, was recognized as coordinator of the county mock trial competition. Members of the District X Fee Arbitration Committee and District X Ethics Committee who were honored are ethics committee chairman Stuart Lederman; ethics committee secretary Bonnie Frost; fee arbitration committee chairman Robert Bartkus; and fee arbitration committee secretary Melinda Middlebrooks. Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis presided at the event. Women Lawyers in Union Hold Environmental Law Meeting On April 23, the Women Lawyers in Union County held a meeting at the Spanish Tavern in Mountainside, featuring Maura Blau, a solo practitioner in Springfield. Blau spoke about developments in environmental law and their effects on commercial and residential real estate transactions.
