CONTRACTS in sargon enterprises inc.’s breach-of-contract action against the University of Southern California, which alleged that USC did not obtain reliable results on the clinical trial study of a patented dental implant, a California jury returned a verdict of $433,323 on March 20. Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Sargon claimed that USC failed in its obligations because it included patients in the study who should not have been included, failed to chart correctly the patients’ progress and altered patient records to reflect nonexistent negative aspects of the dental implants.
