ACCFL Lynn Soukup,a partner in the D.C. office of Alston & Bird, has been elected a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. The election was made in recognition of Soukup’s long-standing commitment to the practice of commercial finance law. The 150-member ACCFL promotes high standards of professional and ethical responsibility in the practice of commercial law, and to develop and distribute materials relating to recent trends in the field. COLLEGE OF TRIAL LAWYERS Paul T. Stein,of Rockville, Md.’s Stein, Bennett, DeJong, Driscoll & Greenfeig, has been named a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the college is extended by invitation only to lawyers who have demonstrated excellence in the field, and who have been practicing for a minimum of 15 years. The college seeks to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. DCBIA Debra Yogodzinskiand Edward Rogersof the D.C. office of Nixon Peabody have been appointed co-chairs of the Retail Business Development Committee of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA), an advocacy organization representing the residential and commercial real estate industry in the District of Columbia.
