Dulles, Va.-based Internet service provider America Online Inc. (AOL) has filed five lawsuits under the Federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. 1030 et seq.) and state law against companies and individuals it says send unsolicited bulk e-mails to, among others, AOL customers.
