Bell, Haynes and Boone; secretary, Kent Chambers, Hamilton & Terrile; and immediate past president, Jeff McDaniel, Conley, Rose & Tayon. APPOINTMENT . . . James T. Campbell of Amarillo was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry as a justice of the 7th Court of Appeals, which serves 46 counties in the Panhandle and South Plains. Campbell is an attorney with Peterson, Farris, Doores & Jones in Amarillo. He is replacing Justice Phil Johnson, who was elevated to chief justice of the court. Campbell’s term will run until the 2004 general election, when he can opt to run for a full term. AWARD . . . Marvin Nathan, a partner in Houston’s Nathan Sommers Jacobs & Gorman, was awarded the 2003 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League for his work for civil rights.
