Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has reached an agreement to bring in 50 partners from Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and simultaneously open new offices in San Francisco, Palo Alto and Irvine. Morgan, Lewis Chairman Francis Milone announced in a press release that the group includes partners from Brobeck’s litigation, business and technology, labor, tax, employee benefits and intellectual property groups. Among the partners are Brobeck Chairman Richard Odom, former Chairman John Larson, and longtime partners Franklin “Brock” Gowdy and Stephen Finn. Morgan, Lewis partners are set to vote on the deal Monday. Brobeck announced last week it would dissolve the firm after merger talks with Morgan, Lewis broke down. “We could not be more thrilled that we have reached an agreement in principle to add over 50 partners, including some of their most experienced senior partners, and will be quickly adding associates, paralegals and administrative staff to support them,” Milone said in the press release.
