Fenwick & West elevated five associates to the partner ranks in the firm’s Palo Alto and San Francisco offices. Litigation associate Rodger Cole, 33, has worked in the firm’s Palo Alto office since 1995. His practice focuses on copyright, trademark, advertising and commercial litigation. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1991. Brian Hoffman, 33, has been in the intellectual property group in San Francisco since 1996, focusing on patent prosecution and litigation in the computer industry. He earned his law degree in 1994 from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. An associate in the firm’s Palo Alto office since 1995, Rajiv Patel, 35, worked formerly as an engineer at IBM. He is an adjunct professor at Hastings College of the Law. He earned his J.D. and master of intellectual property from New Hampshire’s Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1995. Lynda Twomey, 34, has worked in Fenwick & West’s corporate group since 1994. Prior to joining the firm, Twomey worked as a solicitor in one of Ireland’s largest law firms. She earned her law degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, in 1989. An IP litigation attorney in the firm’s San Francisco office since 1997, Jedediah Wakefield, 33, focuses on trademark and copyright issues. Previously, Wakefield served as a judicial extern to U.S. District Court Judge James Ware, in the Northern District of California. He earned his J.D. in 1995 from Santa Clara University School of Law. “We are proud of this year’s class of new partners, all of whom have come up through the ranks at our firm,” said the firm’s chairman, Gordon Davidson.
