For the second year in a row, most of the Bay Area's top-grossing firms have left salaries at the levels set during the height of the technology boom, and a few firms have trimmed associate base pay. While many associates aren't thrilled with the salary situation, they say that given the dismal market it's understandable. Indeed, a number of associates feel lucky to have a job.
