The Keiretsu Forum, the Diablo Venture Alliance and the East Bay Venture Forum don’t have the same name recognition as the venture capital big shots clustered near Menlo Park’s famous street. However, the fledgling investor networks are generating clients for plugged-in law firms and funneling cash to East Bay businesses.

“Venture capitalists no longer view the East Bay as outer Siberia,” said Donald Reinke, the Bay Venture Counsel’s managing partner, who will join Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May in November.
