U.S. District Judge William Alsup on Wednesday remanded the case to state court after finding no questions of federal jurisdiction.

Vernon Grigg III, Haygood’s attorney, last week asked Alsup to remove the matter to his court. But the judge said in a 12-page opinion that the question of whether Haygood was a probationary or permanent employee was strictly a state issue.
