Geyer left Brobeck at the end of April when the firm decided to cut back on its marketing efforts and joined Philadelphia-based Dechert. Hired by former Brobeck Chairman Tower Snow Jr. to establish Brobeck’s brand as a leading technology firm, Geyer launched Brobeck’s national TV advertising campaign. The firm spent more than $6 million on TV spots on CNN and CNBC. The ads are running through the end of December.

Orrick Chairman Ralph Baxter Jr. said he was impressed with Geyer’s work at Brobeck. So when Norm Rubenstein, who has run Orrick’s marketing department for the past two years, said he was leaving to join Peter Zeughauser’s legal consulting company, Baxter called Geyer.
