The focus of the firm, which opened offices at 100 Pine St., is serving the public sector and nonprofit clients, according to Jonathan Holtzman.

Holtzman said he and Renne had been tossing around the idea of starting a practice for about a year. “I think we felt that there really is no firm out there that is truly devoted to the advocacy of public entities on both the plaintiff and the defense side,” he said.
