For this year’s Asia 100, our annual survey of the biggest law firms in the region, the spotlight is on China.

Given the sheer size of the Chinese economy, it’s no surprise that the country’s law firms have consistently come in at or near the top in our survey, which measures firms by head count. But in 2014, the year for which the data was collected, Chinese law firms didn’t just take the top rankings. They completely dominated the field.
