Accusations that seven high-school football players from Sayreville, N.J., sexually assaulted younger teammates have already led to criminal charges and lawyers said civil suits are likely on the horizon.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges against the players Oct. 10 in connection with alleged attacks on four victims in four separate incidents at the Sayreville War Memorial High School between Sept. 19 and Sept. 29, in which the victims were held against their will and touched in a sexual manner.
