SAN FRANCISCO — Lawyers for Zettaset Inc. and Intel Corp. appear to have settled a suit claiming that Intel used the smaller company’s trade secrets to build rival data mining software program Distribution for Apache Hadoop.

Zettaset lawyer Spencer Hosie of Hosie Rice filed a request last week in Santa Clara County Superior Court to dismiss the case with prejudice. Hosie was out of the country Tuesday and did not respond to requests for comment.
