A rural coastal Georgia jury awarded $1.3 million to a young mother who claimed a permanent and painful back injury from a fall in a Walmart store.

The trial before Liberty County State Court Judge Leon Braun Jr. lasted four days. The jury returned a verdict after four hours of deliberation at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18, awarding $1,286,000 to Allyson Rorro for a back injury sustained when she fell in the Hinesville Walmart store, plus $100,000 to her husband, Curtis Rorro, for his loss of consortium claim.
