Colombia’s economy is booming and a number of U.S.-based and multinational law firms are ramping up activity in the country to make the most of it.

A major tax reform package enacted by the government became effective at the beginning of 2013, affecting most multinational corporations and creating more work for law firms. Also, strong government efforts at combating corruption are increasing regulation and boosting law firms’ compliance practices.
