Miami-based Burger King Corp. has filed a federal lawsuit against the franchise owner of 76 of its restaurants, most of which operate at toll road rest stops or airports — lucrative locations for the fast-foot chain.

The suit against Bethesda, Maryland-based Host International Inc. and four affiliate companies claims the company broke its long-term franchise agreement by failing to have required smoothie or soft-serve ice cream equipment.
