Hall Booth Smith has recruited an experienced corporate health care lawyer, Paul Justice, as a partner from a position as associate general counsel at Emory University and Emory Healthcare. Justice served as vice president and general counsel for St. Joseph's Health System Inc. for almost a decade, until Emory and St. Joseph's formed a joint operating company in 2012.

Justice started his career as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Georgia in Savannah after receiving his law degree from the University of Georgia and clerking for Senior Judge Lewis Morgan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He has also served as general counsel to St. Joseph's/Candler Health System in Savannah, the Georgia Department of Community Health and Promina Health System in Atlanta.
