OAKLAND — A multiyear criminal copyright probe into SAP subsidiary TomorrowNow came to a quick close on Wednesday, with a federal judge OK’ing a plea deal that costs SAP $20 million for infringing Oracle Corp.’s copyrighted software.
The fine is a tiny fraction of what a jury ordered SAP to pay Oracle in a related civil suit.
