The Eurasian Natural Resources Corp.’s top lawyer stepped down last week amidst an internal review of the mining company’s corporate governance practices. General counsel Randal Barker found himself between a rock and several hard places as founders, the media and government officials in London continued to blast ENRC’s board.

A thorough review of ENRC’s board size and membership is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
