Defense attorney John Dowd remained on the offensive yesterday, targeting the witnesses against Galleon Group hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam as liars trying to save their own skins by claiming they had fed him inside information.
Mr. Dowd attacked government cooperator Anil Kumar for contradictory testimony and his claim that he parked $2 million in payments from Galleon Group abroad to hide his compensation for passing material non-public information to Mr. Rajaratnam.
