A $1.8 million class action settlement involving Homestead homeowners who have sued over defective Chinese drywall appears to be in jeopardy after less than three months.

Of 79 owners with tainted drywall in the Keys Gate community, only three wanted to pursue the proposed settlement with Miami distributor Banner Supply, attorneys told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Joseph Farina on Friday. The hearing is set to resume Tuesday.
