Houston lawyer Craig Washington has filed a slander suit against solo Seth Kretzer Jr., alleging Kretzer said Washington would not provide “effective and competent legal representation” to a client.
That client, former truck driver Tyrone Williams, was convicted in 2006 on multiple counts related to the 2003 deaths of 19 immigrants, whom Williams kept in a locked semi trailer and abandoned in Victoria, according to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ June 21, 2010, opinion in United States v. Tyrone Mapletoft Williams.
