One of South Florida’s largest accounting firms, which gained prominence from its association with convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein, dissolved Monday with 115 employees quickly moving to the Coral Gables office of a Virginia-based firm.

All the name partners of Coral Gables-based Berenfeld Spritzer Shechter & Sheer jumped to Cherry Bekaert & Holland, including Michael Spritzer, Emery Sheer, Philip Shechter and Marc Berenfeld.
