Sarah Palin scored a victory in court this week when a federal judge affirmed his earlier decision to temporarily bar a popular media Web site from publishing leaked excerpts of a new book by the former vice-presidential candidate and Tea Party idol.
Southern District Judge Thomas P. Griesa concluded in HarperCollins Publishers L.L.C. v. Gawker Media LLC, 10 Civ. 8782, that HarperCollins had demonstrated irreparable harm would result in the absence of an order enjoining Gawker Media from posting unauthorized excerpts of “America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.”
