The New York Legislature has ignored a February directive by the state Court of Appeals that they conduct an “appropriate and expeditious” review of judges’ salaries, say lawyers for judges seeking a raise.
A motion for reargument filed Thursday asks the court to force lawmakers to give serious consideration to legislation that would raise the pay of state judges for the first time since 1999.
