Philadelphia-based Duane Morris has entered into a joint venture with a Singapore law firm in an effort to enhance the firm’s already established office in the country.

The joint venture with Arfat Selvam Alliance is said by Duane Morris to be the first joint venture to be approved by Singapore since the liberalization of the country’s legal services market in 2008. Such an arrangement is officially known in the country as an enhanced joint law venture. The two firms recently received approval for the joint venture from the government of Singapore.
