Fear, says the Rodent, is what really drives lawyers to get things done. A lawyer becomes afraid of what will happen if she doesn't finish, doesn't prepare, doesn't plow through just one more banker's box of sheer, screaming boredom. And that fear, according to the Rodent, lasts a long time.
