Many chief legal officers collected more compensation last year than in 2008 as their companies began to recover from the economic recession.
A Daily Business Review survey of pay for 34 corporate general counsel at public companies based in Florida shows 23, or 67 percent, got more total compensation in 2009 than in 2008.
