Robinson & Cole associate Jeffrey J. White is the incoming chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association at an auspicious time in its 64-year history. Under his predecessor, Proloy Das, the section hosted a record 27 Continuing Legal Education sessions and featured former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey in the showcase Distinguished Speaker’s series. White, an appellate lawyer, aims to keep the momentum going with serious practice-building programs, and also to bring members of the 2,500-member section together to make new person-to-person connections.

White, an alumnus of the University of Connecticut School of Law, was partly reared by his grandparents. His grandfather Mark White, a steelworker, emphasized the importance of hard work and treating others with respect. “My grandmother [Valeria] White used to say, it’s not the size of the house, it’s the people inside that’s important.”
