Fenwick & West’s IT department received numerous requests from attorneys and staff to display content from our intranet onto our extranet. Providing this content on the extranet would allow firm personnel to access functions and data only available on our intranet without opening another browser window or navigating away from the extranet.
Given that the requested intranet pages had already been developed, the cost of displaying this content on our extranet seemed — at first glance — minimal. In providing this content we had two requirements to address:
