Arent Fox partner Joseph Price spent the early morning hours of Aug. 3, 2006, being interrogated by District of Columbia police about the stabbing death of his friend, former Covington & Burling associate Robert Wone.

“I’m taking it for granted that you guys don’t think I did it, but, you know, obviously I’m an idiot,” Price told a detective, according to a transcript of the interview. “Maybe, you know, I’m a suspect, too, but, you know, why? This is one of my oldest friends. What on earth would possess me to do such a thing? Never mind could I do it. It’s crazy.”
