Recent financial disclosure reports for Judges Diane Wood and Merrick Garland, short-listers for the seat of retiring U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, list millions of dollars in investment assets and detail travel and speaking engagements for which they received reimbursement. Of the three federal appeals court judges said to be under consideration -- including 9th Circuit Judge Sidney Thomas -- Garland listed the most in household investment assets: between $3.5 million and $8.6 million.
