Just Trust Solutions Inc., a Silver Spring, Md., software corporation, and its chief executive officer, Jose Tenembaum, have filed a legal malpractice suit against Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and one-time partner Louis Diamond. This is not the first time that complaints about Diamond’s work have pulled his former firm into court.

In the lawsuit, removed from Maryland state court to the U.S. District Court in Greenbelt, Md., earlier this month, the plaintiffs stated that they hired Diamond in 2004 to assist them with establishing an employee stock ownership plan. The plaintiffs alleged they prepared all the required documentation for the transaction, only to find out Diamond had failed to submit the documentation to the “proper regulatory authorities until, upon information and belief, early 2007.”
