A Lubbock, Texas, television station that regularly publishes online the names of persons charged with misdemeanor offenses erroneously included the names of about 25 attorneys on the list that appeared on its Web site on March 16.

The list, which KCBD TV published on KCBD.com, purported to report the names and alleged offenses of persons against whom charges were filed March 5 through March 15. A printout of the list, provided to Texas Lawyer by Lubbock criminal defense solo Stephen L. Hamilton, shows a defendant’s name and charge, immediately followed by an attorney’s name and the same charge, with no indication that the second name belongs to an attorney.
