Mishcon de Reya, a 120-lawyer U.K.-based law firm, announced on Monday that it is opening a New York office, its first U.S. outpost, with a 7-lawyer group hired from Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. The litigators joining from Sheppard Mullin include partners James McGuire and Mark Berube, and up to five associates. Berube is a partner in Sheppard Mullin's white-collar and civil defense practice group, while McGuire is a former member of the firm's executive committee.
