A federal judge on Wednesday issued an order securing four boxes of evidence in a criminal fraud case in Texas and forbidding Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. to touch them without the proper supervision.

Former Toyota in-house lawyer Dimitrios Biller provided the four boxes of evidence to U.S. District Judge T. John Ward in October in a Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations and products liability case filed by Dallas attorney Todd Tracy. In the wake of a lawsuit filed by Biller claiming that the automaker destroyed and hid evidence from hundreds of victims, Tracy is attempting to reopen 17 accident cases.
