Samuel “Sam” H. Pond may have helped save three people from drowning in the ocean off Sea Isle City, but don’t call him a hero.
Pond said his involvement in rescuing two brothers and a man who tried to swim out to save them was something anyone else would have done who was in the right place at the right time as he was.
