A prominent Mississippi lawyer has been disbarred for misconduct following a court panel's review of allegations he commingled his personal and business funds with the funds of his clients. James McIntyre represented former Ku Klux Klan leader Edgar Ray Killen during Killen's trial in the slayings of three civil rights workers in 1964. Killen was convicted of manslaughter in the deaths on June 21, 2005 -- 41 years to the day after Michael Schwerner, James Chaney and Andrew Goodman were killed.
