Two Southern law firms -- Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegre and Miller, Hamilton, Snider & Odom -- will merge effective Sept. 1. The combined firm will have 270 attorneys in offices in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas and Washington. The merged law firm will continue under the name of Jones Walker and will be led by Jones Walker managing partner William Hines.
