Columbia University turned to Covington & Burling to prepare its president, Minouche Shafik, for Wednesday’s House hearing on antisemitism, according to a university spokesperson.

That hearing, observers said, appeared to have less headline-making remarks compared with the testimony of former Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania presidents in December. Shafik appeared “well prepared,” noted Michel Rosenfeld, a law professor at Cardozo School of Law in New York.
