Maine state courts will remain closed Friday in Lewiston and Androscoggin County as a massive manhunt continued Thursday for a suspect believed to have fatally shot at least 18 people and injured a dozen more.

Following a shooting at a restaurant and bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday the state court system has closed the courts, including Lewiston District Court, Androscoggin Superior Court, and the Violations Bureau and Service Center in Lewiston, according to a press release issued Thursday. Those locations, along with the West Bath District Court, will be closed all day on Friday, the court announced.
