The IRS was hit with a FOIA-related lawsuit amid allegations the agency falsified penalty approval sheets in relation to tax deduction claims.

Arden Row Assets, Basswood Aggregates and Delwood Resources filed a lawsuit against the IRS, seeking records pertaining to 2020 audits of their tax returns, after alleging it falsified documents relating to their claims for tax deductions.
