After nearly two years of litigation, a suit that was originally filed against Yale University, Yale Law School Dean Heather Gerken and two other defendants by a pair of law students has been voluntarily dismissed.

In November 2021, Gerken and other law school administrators were hit with a lawsuit filed by two law students in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut alleging that they were targeted for refusing to support a complaint against professor Amy Chua.
