The national Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) mean scaled score for July was 140.5, an increase of 0.2 points compared to last year’s mean of 140.3.

The MBE is the 200-question, multiple-choice portion of the exam that is used by most jurisdictions and is scored by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE). Individual jurisdictions score the essays and performance tests and calculate pass rates.
