The University of Tulsa College of Law is mourning the death of Professor Elizabeth “Betsy” McCormick—known her her work with immigration law—who died on July 7.

“It is with great sadness that I write to let you know that our beloved colleague, Elizabeth McCormick, aka Betsy, passed away this morning after a fierce battle with ALS [Lou Gehrig's disease],” Miriam “Mimi” H. Marton, associate dean for experiential learning, wrote in an obituary published in LexisNexis on Saturday.
