Washington state law applies to a wrongful death suit against Peninsula Air, an Alaskan regional airline, by the estate of a man who died from injuries he sustained when one of its planes crashed, the Washington Court of Appeals held June 12.

The estate of David Oltman filed a suit against Alaska Airlines and PenAir after a PenAir-operated plane failed to stop on the runway and crashed, critically injuring Oltman and resulting in his death,
