A former Oregon securities broker was sentenced to federal prison for willfully evading a $2.5-million personal income tax payment to fund his lavish lifestyle, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced.

James W. Millegan, also known as J.W. Millegan, 65, of McMinnville, Oregon, received a sentence of 51 months in federal prison with three years’ supervised release April 3. He was also ordered to pay more than $2.5 million in restitution to the IRS and more than $1.4 million to 12 former clients, the office said.
