A Montana First Judicial District Court judge struck down state Rep. Zooey Zephyr’s legal challenge and denied her reinstatement to the to the state House floor Tuesday night.

Zephyr filed a lawsuit in state court Monday seeking to return to the Montana State Capital after being censured for her comments opposing a state bill banning potentially life-saving health care for transgender youth. Her counsel includes attorneys from Beck, Amsden and Staples of Bozeman and attorney Michael G. Black of Helena, who did not return a request for comment.
